The Heiress’s Hidden Guardian

What this short drama is about

Desperate to pay off her student loans and save her gym, Ava Bennett, a spirited young woman with superhuman strength, becomes bodyguard to billionaire heir Julian Hawthorne. Withdrawn and using a wheelchair after a devastating car crash, Julian tries to drive her away. But Ava's fearless humor and stubborn loyalty draw him out of isolation, helping him reclaim his voice and rediscover hope. As their unlikely bond turns into love, Julian's fiancee, Bianca, and his cousin Vincent scheme to discredit Ava and seize control of the family trust. Forged reports, staged scandals and kidnapping test the couple's trust, while an investigation reveals that Vincent orchestrated Julian's crash. Under pressure from Julian's grandfather to choose between Ava and his inheritance, Ava leaves to protect his future. Julian refuses the ultimatum, asserting his right to both his legacy and the woman he loves. After escaping her captors, Ava returns with evidence. Together with security consultant Nathan Reed, they expose the conspiracy, remove Vincent from the trust board and restore Julian's position. Julian publicly rejects the idea that his disability makes him unfit to lead and commits to rehabilitation on his own terms. As he learns to walk again, he and Ava embrace a future together. With his family's blessing, they marry and plant a sapling named "Our Second Try," celebrating the life and love they have rebuilt.
