STORY SNAPSHOT

What this short drama is about

Elly Holt, a photo restorer, lives a quiet life in the fog-sea town of Yalta—until a messenger from the town hall brings her an old silver key engraved with numbers and a relic from her uncle Hugo, who was said to have been “dead for twenty years”: the Pier Seven Lighthouse. At the clinic, her uncle tells her that The Guild is searching for something, and that Elly’s mother Eileen, missing for twenty years, once left behind a negative of the Seven Lamps Lighthouse. Elly retrieves an iron box from a hidden compartment in the lighthouse and meets Lucas, a sailor sent by her uncle. Following clues from her mother’s negative, a secret letter from tavern keeper Mira, and old records in the archive, the two trace their way to the “Seventh Lighthouse”—not a treasure, but a door through which the Fog Sea keeps the world’s shipwrecks and secrets, with a glowing “Sea-Memory Core” at its heart. Silver Head, leader of The Guild, has pursued her mother for twenty years, seeking to seize the Core and let the truth sink forever. Elly sets sail with Lucas, retired officer von Aeden, ship’s doctor Ava, young sailor Tim, and even Otto, a shipowner with his own agenda. In the fog, they face scuttling, drugging, and a traitor. At last they steer down to the wreck of the Mistveil and, beneath the blue light on the seafloor, meet her mother, who has guarded the gate alone for twenty years. Elly makes her own choice between lighting the truth and keeping the secret—she is not coerced by Silver Head, nor does she rashly light the lamp that would bring all sunken ships and old debts to the surface at once. Instead, she takes the Core and her mother home, settles accounts with the real culprits in the merchant guild who swallowed the sunken cargo, drives back the pirates, and finally becomes the new Lamp Keeper: when the lamp will light is hers to wait for and hers to decide. The ending is open: the Seventh Lighthouse remains unlit. The Fog Sea remembers everything, and one day, when it is ready, it will return everything.
