Surviving the ordeal, a heartbroken Casey left and became a war correspondent, numbing herself with dangerous missions. Her husband drowned in remorse, searching for her worldwide. When he found her on the battlefield, he was met with cold estrangement. He finally died shielding her from a bullet, repaying his negligence with his life—but late love can never revive a broken heart.
