Story Synopsis Detective Dante Cross finds a corpse drained of blood, the DNA 99 percent his own. The dead man is his brother Raze. But Raze lives: Subject 001 of Project Alpha, a bio-werewolf pushed through 473 memory wipes, mind locked behind a chip Hale can trigger anywhere. The brothers meet; Raze is feral, remembering nothing. Dante refuses to fight back, telling him of the night he carried him home from stray dogs. The fragments crack the programming. Nyx confesses she is Hale's daughter. The Alpha virus turns citizens into infected hordes. Three keys can stop it: one held by Nyx, one in Raze's chest, one inside Dante's eye, implanted long ago. He carves it out and awakens vampire infrared sight. Nyx is captured, remade as the first Alpha Queen. Rescuing her, their blood touches — the fusion awakens: gold-red energy, dual eyes, burning runes. But victory is a lie: Hale's mind is split across a million implants; his backdoor seizes Nyx and drives a claw through Raze's chest. Nyx fights Hale from inside, tapping Morse: an offline backup core hides in her mother's lab. Dr. Cross died to stop him — her notes left a cure.
